Pretty self explanatory, National Geographic did a panorama on a redwood and it looks freaking awesome.
However, it seems like they used Canon cameras.

Yeah, I got the magazine a few days ago. Kinda cool, cause I just got back from a northern California trip where I photographed coast redwoods last Saturday. I like the photo rig they used for NGS - woulda been better if it was Nikon equipment :)
I remember seeing this photographers work on PDN a while back. I think he's using 5DmkII's.
I used to subscribe. I bought this issue as it was an awesome issue, 90% due to the Redwood Panoramas. I shot them with Fuji GX 617 and Linhof 617. I use my Nikon F5 photos though of the Redwoods as much as the other photos. Prints though of the Fuji GX 617 and Linhof 617 work though was about as good as it gets.
Thewe is an whole DVD set on spectacular NG Photographs and how they created them, which has been on the marked now for over 6 monts... it's called "Most Amazing Photo's" or smthing like that. I got this set myself about 4 mnth's ago, and its realy amazing .. (I think..) .
Wow thanks for sharing NSX, the shots of the actual people on the tree at various points on the way up is really cool. Also neat how the tall shots were put together through the use of three cameras.
