Photo challenges are tough - I certainly don't want to be the judge, it must be a third party and this is hard to organize.

I just wanted to have a fun challenge with the Lomography, just to give who wants to a chance to learn to use the Lomography lens system, I for one am not sure how to make the most out of using it. I would love to try it and it would be great to get help from other NR's that are trying it out also

No I have not, I have only seen the Information on DpReview about the product, but that is all

Hi Niko, If you read this did you ever get to know more about this lens system, anywhere you look it is odd to purchase, like you can buy the F adapter but you are buying lenses that are shipped with pieces for their camera, also how would they actual work on a cropped APS-C camera like my D300 it is kind of like my pin hole lens/cap for my camera, you see great pictures on larger format, but I have seen some neat pictures taken on FF camera (sorry 5D)

Hi Admin: anything new from your dealings with this system

    Thanks Pete

Strange you bring this up bmxdad because I'm in the process of getting the adapter to try it out. When I receive one I plan to share my experience with everyone. Do you have a link to the 5D LOMO samples bmxdad? I know the F+ adapter is already available for the canon mount. Nikon's Fmount should be shipping out very soon.

The LOMO lenses are actually for medium format so for an APS-C sensor they are pretty long focal lengths. For example the super wide 38mm lens is really 115mm on a D300 and the 110mm gives you a whopping 320mm!

In the mean time the LOMOgraphy gallery page has been updated with sample photos using the adapters. Scroll down to the very bottom for the 5 SLR galleries.

Let's give a warning that your link includes nudes bmxdad. That way adamz will hurry and click it and Willis won't while he's at work :^) Do you have any samples taken with your set up?

I'm sure the LOMO adapter could easily be "converted" to be used as a pinhole. (no not that kind of hole exit here!)

I'm not sure which LOMO lens yet. The Fmount isn't in stock, but am told it will be soon. I'll let you guys know what I get.

Sorry forgot that part, they where not pornographic nude and not sharp either from the fact they are by pinhole lenses.

None of my pictures are worth posting them, but I will when I get it figured out, you know just like the LOMO lens, you have to take the right kind of picture, to get the right kind of effect, actually that link I gave you did have some great pictures

Oh I don't have a problem with those nudes Pete. They are very nice. I just didn't want our "sensitive" members to chime in and... well you know.

I'm interested in hearing about your Edun body caps. Is that the only thing you have, just the body cap? Or did you also get the various aperture sheets? I just converted a regular Nikon body cap. I used a hot needle to poke a hole through it. I have also built my own pinhole film cameras.

Only the pin cap so far, I just wanted to get the best possible quality, I might try other pinhole ideas like the long sun light exposure, the cap is well made and is sealed against dust getting into your camera. I will make a post when I have something to post from it
