No the D700 isn't shooting video :^( D700 was only shooting time lapse. At least that's what the guy says but maybe there's some secret D700S/X footage thrown in???? There's hope right? :^) Anyway he is using a Nikkor 300mm f/2.8 mounted on his canon 7D ! Very nice video of China's 60th Anniversary National Day Parade.

Wow, that guy certainly took advantage of his press pass!

In addition to the 300mm Nikkor, any chance he's using a tilt shift lens as well? That miniature effect is really cool.

Yes the 5DmkII had the tilt-shift I believe. I just think it's an odd combo to have a 5DmkII, 7D, and a Nikon D700 with you? And then you mount Nikon lenses on to your new canon 7D!!!

Well the Nikon had to have some lens on it right? Some of the time lapse looked a little tiltshifty too. Hey, when you can't beat the competition, join the competition!

Who said Nikon or Canon was better? If you have the money, the best bet would be to buy both! Can't miss out on any features!

I CANT WAIT MUCH LONGER FOR VIDEO ON THE NIKON D700, WHATEVER THEY ARE GOING TO CALL IT. THEY COULD AT LEAST GIVE THOSE WHO WANT IT A HEADS UP SO WE KNOW ITS WORTH WAITING FOR, XMAS ETC. MAYBE SOMETHING LIKE CANON DID WITH THE 5DMII IM VEY VERY VERY CLOSE TO GOING WITH THE 5DMARKII AND AM VERY LOYAL. WHEN I GO, IM GONE FOR A LONG TIME.

The next possible chance for the D700s/x is in Feburary 2010 at PMA. If you need the video now then I suggest you switch to the 5DmkII. It's a good camera and there's a long list of people wanting to buy it ahead of you so supplies are very limited.
