Hey monty, I just wanted to say that colors on your shoots are original, if you look others here they stand out, they are, well, distinctive and I like that and I think it is good that we have that kind of diversity here …
@NikoDoby it is my backyard, how did you guess?

Water Has a Life of It's Own

nice photo monty - I would play with shutter speed a little bit more, to make the water even more blurred

I did and lost those trails. I think I stayed there for half an hour and the first one was the only one that I liked. On all other shots the trails were concentrated in the center. Perhaps I would have achieved something similar if I'd stayed 5 minutes longer but ppl were already waiting form ... there's never enough time. But I know where the place is ... perhaps next time.

Poster - Love that photo. I'd have made it a little grainier, but that's just my taste.
Monty - Really like yours as well. I wish I lived somewhere that had interesting water to shoot. Austin used to have lakes but it all dried up this summer LOL (Well OK the lakes are still there but it was seriously brutal & we don't have much in the way of tidal activity.

Hey Poster long time no see
I feel a little paranoid with Niko behind my back … Monty how deep is that water, is it deep enough to jump in and hide?
Posted 3 years ago # -
I'm just your biggest fan mb :^) And how do you hide under water?! LOL

Took this at a reservoir near school. Went there with a bunch of friends to shoot after school. I quite like how it turned out even though it wasn't a planned shoot (I had to brace my camera on a concrete ledge).

I shot this in a public park in Northeast Ohio called Mill Creek Park. The curves of the naked tree were hard to resist. Toss in a bit of sepia to draw you to the lines and add a little antique border...one of my favorite shots I have taken this fall so far.

Hey guys thanks for the comments. I been busy with school now so less time to shoot anything to my likening. But I became a staff photog at my uni's paper so I still get to shoot a little.
This one is continuation from the last post. It was a protest of cafeteria union workers from my school.

@Poster – I see that journalistic approach, you are becoming a real pro now …
Red mountain, no matter the theme was actual last month mountains are here forever

Well I don't know about that but I must say that I certainly thought about being a photojournalist in the future. I have lots to learn to say the least.

mb nice shot, is this still in your "backyard"? :^)
What's your major poster? Hope you don't mind me asking.
Monty11 isn't that the Big Dipper in the sky?
PBrigido love your photo. The sepia gives it a very nice feel.
rhodium that's a great shot. What are those red dots towards the center right?

@mb, I think that water was just deep enough for someone to jump in and break a leg :D
@Niko, yup that is the big dipper.

monty11, nice atmospheric shot, the mood of the autumn, great colors and the beginning of dirt and rot, great shot!Posted 3 years ago # -
I really like rhodium's shot...it's rare to get a large body of water that still to get such a nice reflection.

Thanks for your comments! The red dots were buoys on the water surface, I think they use it to mark out the area where water activities are carried out. I was very tempted to clone them away, but I decided to retain them anyway :P
@ monty11: Beautiful shot! Love those deep blues. The autumn shot is wonderful too. I've always had a thing for warm colours.
@ poster: I really like the second photo, really brings out the mood of that situation.
@ drkbl: Beautiful! I love it.Posted 3 years ago # -
