Nice shot, Gentoo. I really like photos that contrast blue and orange like that. It makes for a very vivid scene.
Here's a leaf that's lit up very nicely. Unfortunately another leaf got in the way of the photo at the bottom right, but I think the photo looks worse when that's cropped away. It was rather windy and getting a better angle would have resulted in sticking the tripod into some rather pretty flowers that belonged to our neighbor. I fired off about 10 shots and this one was definitely the best. It's cropped a bit (there was more sky and yellow background to the left). I took it with my D60 and my gf's mom's 200mm F/4 Macro lens.

OK, here goes my first picture. I intended to post this one back in September since the theme appeared to be mountains and Seattle. The picture was taken at Hurricane Ridge, Olympic Peninsula, WA. (hope it works!)

I don't know the code by heart as everyone else here does. Until they tell you, upload it to photobucket. It will give you four codes that you can copy and paste.

Gento, I'm using the code from Picasa but for some reason it isn't working... I'll keep trying... This is what one of the versions I tried
UPDATE: Oh, well, I can't even get text posted...

Here you go seba316 this should help you:
Here are the instructions for future reference
http://nikonrumors.com/forum/topic.php?id=36#post-1091Basically you type <img src=" "
In between the above quotes " " you type the url address to your photo such as "http://www.mypicture.com/flowerpicture" and then just add the following to the end after the quotes />
Or if you use flickr just copy paste the html link of your photo to your post here.
Keep trying Seba316, you'll get it!

Hi Niko, I'm doing exactly that. I also tried the html code from Picasa but for some reason I can't make it work... I'll keep trying...

what does the code your using look like? Does it have the greater than and less than symbols at the start and ending?
Posted 3 years ago # -
Yes. It starts with <img src=" "
And it ends with />.

Ok, then it is not just me being completely stupid?
Posted 3 years ago # -
Of course not. The forum acts up a lot and does some very strange things
So what was the problem adam?
Posted 3 years ago # -
ok guys - I've cleared up the forum, seba's picture is in the first post - will delete my post in 24h
the problem is that the ending needs to be in small letters instead of capitals - so jpg instead of JPG - I know it's stupid, but...
If I accidentally deleted some of Your posts that were not related to seba's image encoding problem, than I'm really sorry - the forum is acting very weirdly
Posted 3 years ago # -
so when your copying and pasting the link to your photos, make sure your .jpg is in lowercase letters and not .JPG otherwise it won't work.
There was a big back and forth discussion on why seba136 picture wasn't showing up but adamz fixed the problem and deleted all of the post of the discussion now.
Posted 3 years ago # -
Adamz, thanks for explaining what was wrong.
Posted 3 years ago # -
excactly Niko - You just need to copy and paste and change the extension to lower letters (lowercase is the right term?)
Posted 3 years ago # -
Good work work on the moderation adamz all the same.
Seba, that's a terrific shot on the Olympic Mountains. Hopefully on my next trip to Washington I can make it over there.
