It was morning. They both were. The first one is of the race that's a warmer overall color. The other is grayer. Thanks :)
Adamz: Another nice one as well. I love the 70-200 lens on the D90.
where there’s smoke there’s forum fire

Hey I like it. Nice colors and background.
Welcome to the forum Aprille. I can't figure it out but something tells me you know Gentoo? :^)
Welcome Aprillejanine! :)
Warning to the rest of you, be nice to her! lol
["Welcome to the forum aprillejanine. Something tells me that you know Gentoo?"]
How did you possibly know that before I said anything? LOL
I'm psychic remember Gentoo. I can also predict that she won't fall for your Nikon "cookies" routine ;^)
The fact that you knew that sort of creeps me out.
"The fact that you knew that sort of creeps me out."
LOL, Gentoo
*Niko flips his trench coat collar up and slowly moves back into the shadows*
Wow...those are awesome. It reminds me of the evil guy from Batman. "Would you like to see my mask?" Hahaha
Oh yeah..
["Welcome to the forum aprillejanine. Something tells me that you know Gentoo?"]
That creeps me out too. =p
Well, it is very appropriate that NikoDoby has sufficiently creeped everyone out on Halloween ;)
Adamz - I love your shot. Everything about it.
Regulator75 - This is beautiful. I love your style. Love it.
Poster - Stunning. I make people who are not even in to photography look at your shots.
aprillejanine - Really pretty fall shot. Welcome, I am brand new to PAD too.
Gentoo - I really was not interested in photographing animals until I saw your shots here.
Thanks Jessi. It is a different process and technique though. Make sure you've set to AF-C on your AF settings. Tap the shutter a few times to make sure your focus really is in the right place as it can be hard for a camera to focus on the shape of a bird for some reason. As you release, press your finger down slowly as if you're easing the shutter down softly. Also try to compose the picture in your head before pointing the camera. You may only have a split second to get the shot. Many find bird photos hard to do because they are composing the shot in the normal way through the view finder. Birds, wild ones in particular are notoriously uncooperative. When you see a bird, look at it's background and surroundings and decide whether it's even worth trying.
Hey guys could we try and link pictures that are no more that 800 pixels wide so they could be visible on an average monitor? I would really like to see the whole thing.
Aprillejanine and Jessi
Thanks for the compliment, means a lot.
Originally I was planning to do something alike from the album cover from Helloween's Keeper of the Seven Keys. Alas I was running out of time, so I did a quick mash up to have a photo by Halloween.
What's an "average" monitor? I'm not going to create another size of the same picture when I already have one resized. Most of mine are about that size anyway but still.
Average monitor could show about 800 pixels in this thread.
Can you see right side of PBrigido image?
Poster - halloween shots are the best
Yes I can, doesn't take a huge effort to move a slider LOL!
On a serious note, while it doesn't take much effort, mb does have a point. I think it will do your picture justice if the entire thing is viewable from the start. It's a good image either way.
