Alphanikonrex, Yeah if you have the resources and can wait, I say go for the 80-200. But if you're like me and need some longer fast glass asap, I would go for the 85 f1.8. The 50 is a great lens, but it is a normal length. Meaning, if you want wide, and you can't back up, you're out of luck, but if you want long, and cant scoot up, you're out of luck. It just depends on what you need most. Right now mine is long, but if you shoot wide shots more then go for the 20mm f2.8 or even the 24mm f2.8.
