My first uploaded photo from this years Nikon Weekend in Park City Utah last weekend. Taken with a D3x and 50mm F/1.4 AF-S lens.

mb and quadrapixel, good shots as well.
All three of you have a style that I like.

Hey quadrapixel, did you keep the D3X this time? ;^)
Interesting shot mb
HueMan did that kayaker make it through OK?

Thanks again Gentoo. NikoDoby, can we take drive in that car? Good shots mb and QuadraPixel.

Sure, I'll trade you a hot lap in the GT for that kayak ride in your photo! :^)

"HueMan did that kayaker make it through OK?"
NikoDoby - There were two kayakers and I think the one in that shot was a young lady. They went down those falls several times and I'm happy to say that they came through unscathed and continued downstream. I have some pretty good shots of them popping up from the pool. I missed a lot due to the speed, or lack thereof, of my D70. I'm going there this month with the D300s and can't wait!
Beautiful sunset, Gentoo.Posted 3 years ago # -
Night Shot - 24 seconds / f16 / 27mm / Nikon D70

Good to hear HueMan. I still use my D70 a lot too :^)

I'd use my D70 as much as you guys if I didn't have one problem: the sensor is literally coated in dust! Here's a pic of the mess:
Posted 3 years ago # -
LOL .. just needs a wet clean.. take it to a camera shop.. they will fix it for you.. if you are not up to doing it yourself.. .. not really hard just go to the chemist and get a small bottle of high greade isopropyle alchohol
then yse a tissue wrapped around a card board and you are set ! I clean my sensors myself these days..Posted 3 years ago # -
I don't need none of that fancy cleaning stuff. I just dip a corner of my T-shirt in some Tequila and give my cameras' sensors a good cleaning - Yes, I'm joking don't even try that! ;^)
Posted 3 years ago # -
I guess the tequila goes in some other place rather than Your T-shirt Niko :)
alphanikonrex - what have You done to Your camera ? - I shot in many different places (some of them extreme) and never had my sensor so dirty
Posted 3 years ago # -
I think alphanikonrex stores his D70 on an old bookshelf with the lens mount pointing up and no lens!

alphanikonrex, have you tried a few shots of air from a can of "Dust Remover"? I had the same issue with my D70 but not as bad. I waited to attempt cleaning the D70 until I got my D300s so that if I damaged something I wouldn't be without a camera. But... a few shots of air and it was clean.

My little niece fascinated by my D90 and 50mm f/1.8 (and some say it isn’t good for portraits), or was it my giant head …

Not a good idea to use compressed air from a can to clean your sensor. The can might spit out propellant onto your sensor and stain it! Best to use a Giottos Rocket Blower. I clean my own sensors and there's really nothing to it. You just have to have the right tools and take care while doing it.
Posted 3 years ago # -
Err... Well, you see, the problem is, I have used a blower on it! That dust is not moving!
And no I don't store it like that NikoDoby. I keep it in a sand box with no lens and in mirror lock mode!
But seriously, all that I've done is used my camera. I had the sensor cleaned last March, and used the camera for a few months before I got my D300. Somehow during that time It became really dirty.
Since air is not moving the dust, should I contact the sensor?

You should start a thread on this topic and I'll help you out there alpha :^)
mb, your niece seems disappointed that your not using a D3X ;^)
