I went to order a D700 today in the Uk today and was told by the shop they will not be recieving anymore D700 as Nikon has stopped building them. I then asked why and was told Nikon said because of the D700 replacement. I explained the D800 wasnt a replacement for the 700 and her reply was, i cant tell you what it is as Ive signed a Confidentiality clause however can tell you the rumours on the internet are pretty true if that helps.. mmmm so is the D600 about to be released... Now do I wait or buy the D700 now(although 3 years old but has no waiting list or problems)... I want low light for motorsport so not sure if i will get that in the spec yet??
