msmoto and adamz I am not going to disagree with you because the low light ability of the current M9 is not even in the same league as DSLRs, but apparently the M10 will at least adress this issue to the point where it will have a range of up to ISO 10,000 and useful to probably 6400 like Nikon was with its D80 camera. The current Leica M9 Monochrome has better iso range apparently up to 10,000, but it only just recently started shipping. I will always keep my M9 as I absolutely love it. Manual everything, the frame lines and prism all heighten my enjoyment of photography. The Leitz glass is unbeatable too. I really like having a Nikon and Leica rangefinder body together.

Trust me, if I had the money, I would have an M9 or be waiting for an M10. I had a Canon 7 in the 60's with an f/2.0 Summicron. I love rangefinder cameras, all the manual settings, the Gossen Lunasix meter, actually measuring light and then adjusting the camera...no question, I would have one. And, who knows, if the M10 comes out and I win the lottery....hey...
Or, if Fuji gets the X-Pro 1 fixed to where it really works and focuses properly.... with a Leitz lens.....Posted 9 months ago #
