Love the Mute Swan with the nice fall leaves adding a nice splash of color. You are really good at exposing white plumage.adamz

Gentoo: Thanks for your comments. As to AdamZ's city, I believe it is Warsaw.

My usual birding set up with the D300 and 300 prime. The bird is called a Townsend's Warbler for those who may be curious. This was actually my very first time shooting RAW as I hadn't been able to use it before.Posted 4 years ago # -

This one is for Gentoo, a real Gentoo Penguin in Antarctica.

Is the eagle missing part of it's beak or is it native to this particular specie?Posted 4 years ago # -
Ok I will join in on this Happy Bird Day too :-)
We have so many of these huge pelicans here.. its just so "normal" to have them around. But they are quite amazing birds..
Taken with my 12-24 nikkor at 24. I was hunting for nice landscapes with my 12-24 when I met these guys who posed for me. LOL 12-24 for a birding lens !! Weren't we just discussing how to get to 600mm for birding in the other thread!

adamz, where did you take that Steller's Sea Eagle? It's bill is injured but it's a nice portrait.
bickhall; Yes a nice Gentoo Penguin. The shot is also very well composed. Rule of thirds used very well in this one, well done!
heartfisher; those have to be some seriously tame pelicans! I can't get within 10 feet of the Brown Pelicans or within 50 feet of the White Pelicans when they're here. This is a really good shot too with a wide angel lens. If I told the people on birdforum that a great shot like this was done with that lens they'd laugh me right off the board! This is another one of those I'd like to blow up to poster size. You have some real talent IMO.
