Hi, i saw a post with comments about this problem annoys some people.
i have a D90, and the texturized rubber near the LCD is falling off.
I know is common because some screws been there for fixing thats why is not sealed.
Do you recommend any glue to fix this problem? some let me adjust the grip before it dries.
Rubber cement. You need something that will move and flex. Some spray adhesives will work, but it sound you have too small of an area for that.
Having the same issue. I actually have the part, just haven't made the repair yet. According to my local shop, the adhesive that Nikon uses for this sometimes reacts poorly with the acid present in certain users' sweat. It's purely an issue of chemistry. I was planning on using silicone, similar to what you'd use around a glass shower door. Whatever you do, DON'T use something like Crazy Glue, for obvious reasons.
I had a similar issue after a repair. You can use rubber cement - Pliobond is good - to attach the rubber. You can also contact Nikon for a replacement rubber grip which comes with an adhesive, but I don't think that's necessary.
