If you know the serial numbers you can check craigs list or ebay to see if they show up. If you are very motivated you could visit pawn shops in your area. I imagine if you registered them with Nikon you might be able to flag them as stolen and if they go in for repair you might be notified. Good luck on locating your items.

Nothing you can do really unless you want to spend all your free time tracking down the serial numbers.

I feel your pain. My car was broken into and the crook stole my laptop, D7000, 24-120mm f/4 lens, DX 10-24mm lens, and a SB-700 flash. I got the serial numbers for them all but nothing I can really do to press further. In the end, I expended my effort swith the insurance company getting them reimbursed. I still hope the crook is run over by a car....

I have been told that there is a site where you could go and list your serial numbers for stolen properties. I have yet to look further....

"stolencamerafinder [dot] com" can search the web for your cameras EXIF information (serial number is saved in the EXIF info). That way you can find a stolen camera as soon as the thief uploads a picture to facebook ... but unfortunately that only works for the camera, not for flashes.
