    Awesome stuff, everyone. Janoch, that's got too much saturation for me (and that probably means something coming from a long-time velvia fan!).

    Love it!

    You all post such great stuff that I sometimes feel embarrassed to post anything. I haven't been really proud of anything I've taken recently. My son complained about being cold on the way home a couple of weeks ago. He stumbled from the car to the house when we got home and found the first warm spot he could—the dog's kennel. He had a fever of 103 that night, the poor guy!

    NEX-5N and 18-55 OSS at f/4, 18mm, 1/15s, and ISO 200.

    I was sitting all alone at my desk and this one made me laugh out loud all by myself :)
    Great shot, really... Still chuckling

    @TaoTeJared; Thanks for posting both, I think the combination adds a special charm.

    @boemboem

    The moon shot is a full color, slight burning and dodge in Lightroom 4, but no color alterations. These Knee-Con folks know how to color balance automatically....at least on this one. In shooting this, i metered at -3 ev, and used center weighted at I think 15mm. As I was on a stand with others, turning the camera around and shooting the moon while others were shooting the cars going around on the track, I sort of had to do this as quickly as possible so as not to get in anyone's way.

    The correct way to do this shot, now that I have done one...first time in my 70 years... is to set up a five exposure bracket, full range and then select from the wide range. I think.....

    Squamish, I love your climbing shots. You have a great eye for composition and your use of depth of field always puts me right in the photo. I feel like I'm that guy looking for a hold.

    Thanks, jonny. Thats the exactly what Im going for. :]

    @SquamishPhoto....

    Every time I look at one of those climbing shots I have to quickly cover my eyes... I do not have any fear of riding a bike at 150+mph, but heights.... I cannot stand. Your photos are so good in capturing the moment, it simply sends shivers up my spine.

    @msmoto, good to know :)
    @rschnaible, very nice capture, I'm still not to convident to ask people for their picture.
    @Yetibuddha, welcome in my country for a short while :)
    @Pierre, do you like chicks? ;-)
    @SquamishPhoto, very beautiful reflection, the water has the shape of the mountains in the back, good shot!

    Well, as you maybe noticed, I'm trying different styles of photography and at this point I like them all. Here's a try for abstract photography. Combined with some cropping inspiration stolen of rschnaible ;-)

    @El_Pickerel..the Iceland shot of the strange landmass...WOW....you really had to do some traveling and a bit of hiking to get there is appears...very nice.

    Oh, golly, Bland, isn't that a "Hook 'em Horns" sign? Ha, ha, ha.
    And, the shots above, especially the 14 shot pano, this is a candy store for the eyes... Thanks all.

    But, in the USA, it is Memorial Day. A time for remembrance of those who have given their lives so the rest of us could live free. And we do not forget those who gave a part of themselves as well. We are eternally grateful for these people who made a sacrifice for us.

    In the part of the USA I grew up, car racing was a big event and always very patriotic. And the action never ceases. So for my shot today, from Wausau, Wisconsin.... in Red, WHite, and Blue....

    zhinsara: Great image

    Just another sunset from my side. The great thing about those last sunset pictures was, that I only needed to open the living room window and stick out my camera...

    Been quite busy for the last several days. No time to post, and very little to look. Here's a ladybug that I intended to post before that. And as usual, absolutely amazing photographs everyone.

    ** the reason for the green hue is that I held my SB-900 off camera and I believe a leaf was in front of it. You can see somewhat of an image of it on the bugs back.
