    Nice vintage look Treckie.
We got small, you got big El_Pickerel, looks cold but I like this serie.
    Photojournalism with class msmoto, fashionable.
Looks science fiction kanuck, very interresting, parking or something?
Nice colors sand, just make sure you do not post bigger than 800 pixels on the longest. I have to admit being jealous of your D800 (and of all the others that have it also).
Looks from a scary movie Janoch.

Eventually I will catch up on my processing. School work is done, so I can start making a move on catching up. Expect a string of folk dancing photos, whenever I finish the rest of the Iceland stuff! Another scene from Þingvellir:

@jerl Thanks for allowing the full size file on Flickr... I have a question.... can you reshoot this at f/11 and see if it actually becomes sharper? I cannot see how far away you were as the Exif data suggest over 4,000 Km away....obviously an error.

So, this is the kind of stuff I call "real life" and we can actually see how the equipment works. And I also have a D90 which is an excellent camera.

    Thanks, Tommie

I used a set of manual focus extension tube without any electronic coupling so the EXIF data doesn't get reported properly sometimes. I had thought that I had used my newer extension tube but I guess not. This is with a 50mm lens, somewhere between 1:4 to 1:2 reproduction ratio.

As for reshooting, well, I shot this almost a year ago, so I can't remember where it was exactly. Rest assured, though, that the f/22 is probably also wrong due to the lack of electronic coupling.

@sepu, where's this, the geometric shapes remind me of monoliths from 2001: A Space Odyssey.
@msmoto, I have more from the rally from last Sat, would you like to see more?
@Juergen, which part of Borneo were you in? East Malaysia (Sabah/Sarawak or Brunei)?

Night before, another DJ, Arty. Flash restrictions so had to shoot at as high an ISO as I dared.

@zhinsara - really brings you into the moment
@msmoto - Canon gear looks better through Nikon glass :P

@msmoto , I love to see beat-up gear that's still being used. Makes me feel OK to spend extra money on higher quality stuff.

    Self Portrait.
No, I'm not a black woman! I'm the reflection in the glass :)

This was simply a quick point & shoot to capture an ISO 6400 image, which has been requested by @msmoto. There are a couple of other images that can be viewed by following my Flickr link in my profile. Post Production (noise, clarity, vibrance, crop)

@spraynpray, that was ISO 3200 on a D300s. Shot in RAW, applied some NR in LR3, added a little fill, that's why his face is a grainy. I really wish I could afford a D700 right now.
@El_Pickerel : thanks! This guy wasn't too bad, really young too!
@Juergen, if you can cross the border to Sarawak or Sabah, check em out too :) My SO and friends tell me it's real nice.
@msmoto : what happened to all the nikons :(
@cyclecraft : You make me jealous :P Btw I can't seem to follow the flickr link?

Hey, thanks for all the great shots! As to the Canon junk, actually not junk, the thing I learned was about the homemade remote stand, a flat plate with a tripod head attached. Nice idea. The Reuters guy had one on each side as the folks form the John Edwards trial came out of the courthouse. And as he fired his primary camera, the Pocket Wizards shot the remotes. Also, taping the focus and zoom rings is an excellent idea when setting up remotes. No monkey business with accidental bumps, etc.
As to why these guys were using Canon and not NIkon... most likely a function of dollars, contracts and back room work. Non of them purchased their own equipment, but one of the guys stated he would buy Nikon if given a choice.
My prediction at the upcoming Olympics.... 70% NIKON D4's.

Hi Cyclekraft.... as to editing and deleting, just open the edit link for your post, available for the first 24 hours, and you can change anything you want. I often do this as the photo may not look the way I want it to look, so I go to Lightroom, re-edit, export and upload to Flickr, then repost a new image on top of the old image. This knocks out the old image. Then I go to Flickr and delete the old image.

This eliminates the double post and risk of catching H... from an admin or mod.

Oh, I like the reflection stuff. Maybe you can bring your image up a little and increase contrast in your reflection...?

@cyclekraft..... the D800 looks very clean at ISO 6400. Thanks. I looked at your photo stream on Flickr.

    @elvishefer...love these beach shots...

@Adamz.... nothing is quite as nice as one's dog running toward the master, yes? Absolutely wonderful capture of the moment...
