*PLEASE POST ONLY ONE (1) PHOTO PER 24HRS* in this thread.

As a courtesy we ask that you keep your photos to under 800 pixels on the longest side. If you post a photo that is larger than 800 pixels then it will be deleted from the thread. You can have your smaller photo link to a larger version but the embedded photos must be less than 800 pixels. If you need help on how to post a photo read through the Forum Rules & FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) thread for help on how to post a photo.

If you have a flickr.com or Yahoo.com email account then you are welcome to post your photos in our Flickr group and have them appear in our forum slideshow.

Spray, those white specks are actually snow flakes, it was a snowy week in the park.
Bland, It may seem like courage, but there was a river between the bear and myself. But thanks for the compliment anyhow!

This cool specimen was given to me by a visiting friend.
It's about 7 inches wide and has all kinds of impressive textures and details.
Plus it still kinda smells like the ocean. :)
The little bumps are roughly a few millimeters tall.

These posts are so great, all of them. How about some "photojournalism"? The star government witness in the John Edward's trial in North Carolina, USA, taken yesterday....

@jerl Thanks for allowing the full size file on Flickr... I have a question.... can you reshoot this at f/11 and see if it actually becomes sharper? I cannot see how far away you were as the Exif data suggest over 4,000 Km away....obviously an error.

So, this is the kind of stuff I call "real life" and we can actually see how the equipment works. And I also have a D90 which is an excellent camera.

    Thanks, Tommie
