I was given this link for an APP which puts a nice Birder's guide for North America on your smartphone. So, in the field with your camera you may wish to get this and identify the birds.

If this is inappropriate please remove. I think the APP is free from some sources. It is a special usually $20 but either free or $0.99 and well worth it in the field.

99 cents in the Canadian App Store as well. Just do a search for "Audubon Birds".
