Hi all,
@heartyfisher Thanks, but like I acknowledged, it isn't art. ;-)
I also have the AW100 for when the weather is bad, and it takes nice photos, but isn't as flexible as the P7100. The P7100 also works with the CLS when used with the SB800/SB900 as the master with my other lights, so that's another plus.
Last week I made some 'flip books' with its 320x240 video for a small Girl Scout Troop using Photoshop - turned out terrific with little effort.
@sevencrossing I don't know that I would dare to compare with a D700 which I'm in the throws of consideration of buying this year instead of a D800. The D700 is such a wonderful camera and meets all my near and foreseeable future needs with the single exception of video - and I have the D7000 and a GH2, both very, very capable video options. But there's a lot to be said for having an FX camera that 'sees' DX lenses at a higher pixel rate than one's current DX camera, right? :-)
As for the so, so blah low ISO performance, to which I so hardily agree with you on, I typically shoot no higher than 200 ISO and use a support of some kind. I have very, very shaky hands and have to find support anyway. The camera does take its time to write RAW, which I 'generally' don't find a problem, but then, it will certainly raise its ugly head when it becomes most objectionable.
My best,
Mike
