Thanks,

I had to switch to using IE9 because when using Chrome I couldn't log in to reply to a post. It was OK before.
HTH.
works for me with IE9 and Chrome
out of interest what is new with the new software
Having Log-in issues when trying to access the PAD thread. Using a Mac. Cannot log directly into page 6. I can log in to page 5 but when I click over to page 6 or click "Next" it logs me out.
the "Report" button still does not work just get "Not Found
Apologies, but we were unable to find what you were looking for. Perhaps searching will help."

Not specific to this version but I always have to F5 after logging in or it wouldn't let me in ( Mozilla ). If I am the only one, it must be my settings though I doubt it, as it never happens anywhere else.
Works on Opera. I had to re-block the ads.

You're not the only one. It didn't start happening to me until about 6 months ago. Kind of annoying, but it probably saves the server some traffic.
Works on Rockmelt, Maxthon, Chrome, Opera, Safari and the Firefoxes for me(Pc tho).
works for me....
i just wish we could delete our own posts.
works fine for me on safari - actually works faster than before, when I had some issues with page loading

Same here too.
FF 11 on Win/7 64bit.
It stopped needing me to do it yesterday (or day before), so who knows!
Oh yes - and the forum does seem faster than before the upgrade. Did you do a db reorganization as well?
Well, I did not see any difficulty..... but that is not saying much. Does this mean we can violate rules and blame it on the new updated version? ........just joking a little....
Maybe it is my imagination, but could the resolution be better? It looks more clear..... or am I crazy?
UPDATE 12 hours later.... I am on a Verizon Hot Spot and yet the NRF seems to load much faster. Is this a result of the improvement? If so, great!
And, once again, thanks admin & mods for all the work....
Ms. Tommie Lauer
I could not find an exact list of updates for this version of bbpress. My guess is that it was mainly bug fixes and overal perfromance improvements. This is the last update for their "legacy" version. The next update 2.0 is completly new and different - it integrates in the Wordpress database and I don't think I will ever upgrade to it (I compelty messed up the blog database while testing it). If the current version becomes too limited and annoying, I will have to switch to another forum platform. I want to continue to keep the forum and the blog as two separate entities (separate databases, isntallations, etc.)
@spraynpray - I tested it with Chrome on Win 7 and was able to login - try to clean the browser's cache and maybe even the cookies. Checjk also if you are using the latest Chrome version.
@Rx4Photo - what browser are you having problems with on a Mac?
@sevencrossing - I temporary removed the "Report" feature until I figure out how to fix it.
@Paperman - is this happening with other browsers as well? I wonder if it is some kind of a setting in the browser.

Just checked. IE works fine when logging in; Mozilla needs F5'ing every time. No F5'ing necessary in other forums that I log into ( with Mozilla ).
I don't mind pushing an extra key if I need to post something, so don't worry :-)
Looking good in Mac Safari.
The problem must be only with Firefox on Windows, because on a Mac it works fine (using the latest version).
Geez... I just logged in with Firefox....on a Mac.... no problem....it seems
But then I do not even know what F5 ing is....
I have not had any problems with Firefox, running all over the forum this morning
F5 is one of the the function keys at the top of your keyboard, and in most browsers it's a shortcut key to tell the browser to reload the page.
The issue is that pages that were loaded before I log in need to be refreshed after logging in because it says I'm so still logged out, as if the browser is keeping a cached copy of the pages and you have to tell it there's a new version. Even after logging in I sometimes have to refresh to see new activity on the main forum screen. It's really not a huge deal, but it never happened to me until recently.
It happens on firefox and chrome on my windows and linux pcs, safari on my ipad, and whatever browser is on my android phone.
I made some changes to the cookie files - let's see if you still have to refresh the page in order to stay logged in.
Seems to be working here, on Chrome.
yes, I tried it too and I did not have to log back in
I think I figured it out - I get logged out from the forum if I visit the blog. If I stay on the forum only, my session is retained and I don't have the re-login.
I'm not sure about that. Sometimes I'm already logged in when I connect to NR and most of the times I am not. It usually throws me off when I go to the blog and come back , but sometimes it doesn't and I stay logged in.
The only pattern I found is if I'm logged out, I can't log in without F5 . And sometimes F5'ing once doesn't work - I had to F5 4 times to get logged in a few minutes ago.
You must log in to post.
