Found myself without my tripod - couldn't really pass this up, so just trialing photomatix to HDR it - recommendations for free alternatives gladly accepted!
Shot on a canal in Oxfordshire, it was pretty much pitch black so handheld I had to bump the ISO a bit on my poor D5000!

Was in Yellowstone last week for a few days. This is the largest black bear I have ever enountered.
Brown colored black bear, Yellowstone:

@Yeti: There seem to be a lot of white specks in your shot - particularly to the left of the bears head - ?
@TheChemist: Is that the Trout Inn beside the infant Thames?
