There is something flowing around the internet that Nikon has hidden a future feature that it will charge $750 for later that will make the effective MP around 108mp.

Not interested in opinions or the "I think this or that" on it (we all have those) just interested on if and where others have seen anything about it and if we can help dismiss it or not.

This could be just an April fools joke that picked up a lot of steam as some posts were right around the 1st. I have been dismissing it but I am starting to see it become much more written about as hackers are claiming to see it in the code and supposedly there are some leaks from engineers about this. I'm not sure.

The best description I have seen on it is here as well as many linked to it:

*Note: The first comment was "April fools" but it is not from the author and I'm not sure if that is an admin.

Ok, I'm not sure if you are serious or not, but just to double check, make sure to check the date on that post.

It seems that April fools can bite one even on the 3rd of April. :]

Like I said not looking for opinions or I think.... Just looking for the ABSOLUTE yes or no.

I'm going though my browsing history trying to find the others to trace everything back - not all of them are going back to this article - it was just the best written so it makes me think it is the "originating post".

Like I said I took it as a joke first as well - still actually do. But part of me knows that software interpolation could easily up the resolution.

It's been flowing around so I thought I would see if we can dispel with the nonsense.

Imagine shooting at 100+mpx how difficult it would to not blur even the slightest shutter movement might cause at 100% blur would be nuts.
