And the reason I ask is because I will be considering a M8.2, not a M9.
I do not know how reliable they are, and If I will have to ship it to Leica often. I have read the reviews, which are highly mixed.
As far as quality goes, I like the images and do not mind not going past ISO 2500.
I like to do mainly portrait photography. With the lenses I use, such as 58 Noct and 100mm Zeiss on Nikon, i get the images I want, however the motivation for making the switch is the size and manual classic way of the rangefinder, even though I use M everything on DSLR.
I know there is nothing the M8 will do that Nikon wont do, and even better. But I need to know how reliable it will be. Or will it fall apart, blast colors, go off white balance on its own, and fall apart every second..I travel ALOT, and cant be bothered with not having a camera because it is getting repaired in Germany.
But if the M82 is more of a hassle than good times, Ide like someone who has used Leica M8 to tell me if its really worth it. The reviews i read include Steve Huff which praises it..anyways, I hope someone here can shed some clearer light. Thanks.
