Hi Folks:
I just received my D800 and think there is a problem. Raw files are 40.8Mb (should be 75MB) and pixelated at even 66%. Very poor quality. Tiffs are 100.8MB (Should be 200MB) but very good. I'm shooting FF with a 85 1.4 lens. I use NX2 on an iMAC. Am I doing something wrong or is it the camera?

No. It is set to FX
Unfortunately I don't use PS. Just NX2
Make sure you have done a software update of OS X to get the new RAW. Also update the CNX2 to latest 2.3.1.
My D800 files range from 38 to 55 MB depending on the image. Not sure were you figure 75 unless you are trying uncompressed. I have losses compressed set on mine. They are tack sharp at 1:1.
I am using LR4 mostly though.
Tried CNX2 and I zoomed to 66%. It took a while (about 30 seconds) but it eventually went from pixilated to sharp. The spiral swirlygig on the edit list was spinning while it was working.

He said iMAC. I would have to have Lion or Snow Leopard.
I have Lion on the MAC I tested with CNX2.

Ronadair; Only issue I have is that CNX 2.3.x will not quit normally. I have to force quit it every time in Lion on my MBP. Gonna try installing it on the Mini and see what happens. it has Lion too, but a clean install not an upgrade from 10.6.
