@ Monty, that B&W shot of the forest is fantastic.
@ drkbl, so many shooting opportunities to take waterfall shots. Looks great.
@ Poster, the colour is so crisp and stunning detail.Posted 3 years ago # -

I like the one in color. You want to always shoot food in color.

Deep dish pie should always be in color!

I'm hungry now

Hah, thanks for the tips guys! I figured color, but I wasn't sure. Good to know about shooting food in color. The photo was taken for my school newspaper, so it had to be converted to monochrome.

connor - the color looks good, but I'll go for a little bit deeper DOV, as this one is a little bit shallow

OK, I've been off this thread for a while. I suppose its time for me to contribute. Here's one I did of my dog.
I wasn't actually trying to shoot anything particular. I was just tooling around with my new 105mm. It turned out to be some of my better stuff.

Willis I think your dog might have rabies :^) What's Poochie's name?
Edit: Oops I see her name is Roxy :^) I hope you don't piss your girlfriend off like that Willis :^)

Another winding road

LOL Niko... the funny thing is that she was perfectly mellow during that shoot. She was just licking her nose and the still made it look all menacing. I turned up the grain and contrast in silver efex pro during to B&W conversion to exagerate the point. I think the web compression made that a waste of effort. I suppose I'll have to upgrade my flickr account.
Nice road monty. I wish we had more interesting roads here in texas. Straight roads are like a point of national pride for us in Texas (That's right I said national... we've got issues over here). Great for driving... lousy for photos.
Do you get that shot straight out of camera or do you crop it in post? I always have a hard time getting precise framing. Probably because of my D40's crappy finder. Maybe because of the crappy photographer behind it.

Ok, I've been able to get myself organized, so now I have the chance to post some photos.
Here's a flower photo I took with a reverse lens mount and the non-AI 50mm ƒ/1.2:

Anybody know what kind of flower that is?

@Regulator75
Thanks. It's amazing what the crummy Nikon 70-300 G can crank out.
I love that pic from British Columbia.

Nice one, Monty11! You got that effect by zooming out? Which lens did you use?

Istanbul, TurkeyPosted 3 years ago # -
I used the 16-85, but just zooming will leave straight lines ;)
New day and a new photo!

Nice sunset and I like the red Corvette picture in your motorsports gallery. I wonder why? :^)
