It certainly seems like it given lots of chatter about B&H and Amazon. I placed my order the am of Feb 7. On the 20th I received another "Your item has been backordered..." email. Has anyone gotten a favorable response from Adorama about the delivery of their D800?

I also ordered from Adorama and am anxious to know whats going on.
Saw a tip in the comments saying they had started taking phone orders before the online listing went up, so I went ahead and placed my order over the phone.
Hoping that got me a higher spot on the list vs everyone who waited for it to pop up online.
That said, I did get the "backordered" email a couple days ago...but wondering if its just automated and was sent to everyone.

I think it is safe to say that if you ordered your camera in the US, from anybody, you don't have it yet.
