Got my d800 ordered yesterday to replace my BH order. Had the order confirmation via email but still wait for the shipping confirmation. Don't know how long Nikon keeps me waiting

This is my last post here guys. I got fed up with Adorama and ordered from Mikes Camera in Bolder, CO.
I had to pay up front and when I emailed him today for an update I received a reply in 5 minutes saying "sorry I was out yesterday but your camera came in Monday and it will be on your doorstep TODAY!!!!!" WOO HOOOOO!! Got my UPS tracking number and it feels like the winning lottery numbers!! Hahaha
It took me a total of 8 business days I think from ordering to delivery.
Forget B&H and Adorama guys... at least give mike a call and see what his wait times are he'll give you an honest answer rather than the run around. Its nice to be able to pick up the phone and talk to someone who care about your order.

It took like, 24 hours to from the order confirmation to the shipping confirmation. Like I said above, ordered on a Tuesday evening, in my hands on Friday.

Had to send it back tho, BH finally had my D800e.
And before anybody jumps on me for double ordering, I tried cancelling as soon as I found out the D800e was on it's way. However, there's no such option through the Nikon store.

I'm almost ready to cancel the D800E order and get the D800. I could have had 10 by now from a combination of the Nikon store and smaller camera stores.
Does anyone else have any news on receiving their D800E from B&H?

The latest word here is that the last consignment of D800's to New Zealand was only 4 units, and the next consignment — whatever number — is not due for another 2 weeks.
Colorist; By the time the D800 gets here the D900 might be released and the D800 'wil'l be a legend.
Ruscitti; I have paid a deposit for my D800 to my Nikon retailer here in NZ so I am unable to buy from the Nikon store without loosing my deposit.Posted 11 months ago # -

Got mine yesterday from a local dealer in Canada. Order on april 9.
But the picture counts was 54 .... and a name was already written in the copyright field!!! ?!?!? Normal ?!

@colorist, hang in there I know it sucks but eventually it'll get better. I was surprised my d800e shipped at all.
@Earthsea, I will personally find and bring you one for price of the camera plus round trip tickets.

No! Not normal, the store is likely trying to pass off a returned unit as new. If your name is not on the warranty card, you will not get warranty support. Return it ASAP.

I ordered from J&R on April 3rd. I just got a call from the warehouse saying that they have my camera and that they wanted confirmation to ship. I can't wait to get it.

The D800 appears to be available at Target's website. I just placed an order and it says will be here by monday. I really hope this is it.

@ John Mason - Thanks for the tip. I ordered mine as well. Shipping confirmation for Tues. Would have been here on Monday but I chose Tues because I'll be out of town on Monday. I don't know if I'm going to be sick or cry.
