I just got a phonecall from my local Nikon-dealer, telling me that my D300s has arrived!
So directly after work, I wil go and get it.
Nice sidenote: apparently I was the first on his pre-order list, so it might very well be that I am the first to have the D300s (at least in this part of our country, the Netherlands that is..) :-)
    I'm happy!!

Thanx for your replies. Camera is on my table now (containing one of my D200's batteries).
So far I have been changing some of the menu-settings and browsing through the BIG manual.
Didn't have time yet to use the movie-mode or do extensive testing of AF or other functions.
I'm very impressed by the big 3" screen and the build-quality. I also have the battery-grip (MB-D10) which also feels very sturdy. Later this weekend I will start using the camera and check the many various options.
Even though I have been using the D200 for several years now, this new D300s will sure take me some significant time to learn. But it will be worth it! :-)
