Nikon are well known for high-priced accessories. I'm a sucker for them.
My favourite is the MR-3 - it screws into the Nikon 3-pin socket on certain film cameras to provide a second shutter button as well as use of a cable release.
I can't remember how much it cost me, but it seemed a lot at the time. I now have two.

My second-favourite is my psychedelic Nikon wide strap. I'm fairly sure it is an official Nikon strap - I bought it in Sendai around 1995.
Sevencrossing, I've got an Action Finder on my F2. 25 years ahead of the LCD monitor on the back of a DSLR.
Their lens caps because they're actually pretty darn good.
Too bad if you lose them though.
Canon's lens caps are pretty bad.
The SG-3IR infrared panel. Simple, cheap, plastic piece that simply blocks the light from your pop up flash, but still lets the infrared signal through to remotely fire your slave flashes. Brilliant Nikon engineering right there, for under US$12.
In my case it's the SB400 tiny flash which can do miracles sometimes. It's small, light, cheap, it doesn't need lots of batteries, and it keeps on working, year after year after year… :)
Hmm, as far as accessories go, most of them are over priced. They are very good quality: rear and front caps and much better than anything I have seen from 3rd parties (and relatively cheap compared to the M-mount body cap that I once had to buy), and the remote for the consumer cameras is great- long battery life, small size, easy to use.
Probably what I like the most is my PB-4 bellows, though. Very good build quality, smooth movements, and it has a lot of great features, many of which I don't really use though. I rarely need it now, but when I do, it is great.
DK-19 eye cup; cuts out stray light, leads to decreased eye strain, keeps you from mushing your face all over the back of the camera and it costs $20.
ML-L3: Shame it doesn't work with the more expensive Nikons.
SG-3IR: I have already ordered one.
Lens caps: I am replacing my old Nikon (and other) caps with the newest front cap.
SB400: I wish it worked with the AWL system (or the SB200 had a hotshoe mount).
DK-19: I have already ordered one.
PB-4: I have no need for bellows, but now I want to have the need.
