Why would Nikon use Canon fotage - it obviously creates topic for discussion across the internet. I was wondering what is your comment about it?

Yeah this has been around for a little while now but it's not exactly old news either. Unfortunately this sort of stuff has been going on for some time though. Many companies have used another's footage in their advertisement before including Nikon, Canon and Sony,. Check out this thread: http://nikonrumors.com/forum/topic.php?id=4276.

The case concerning this particular video though is different because Nikon did not even have permission to use those videos (at least that's how I understand it). I do believe that this was done by Nikon Thailand and that Nikon Corp. (Japan HQ) itself was not involved however I don't think this excuses it.
