Glad they added the Tokina lens corrections. I was hoping for one on the 12-24 F4. Will have to upgrade tonight when I get home.
Anyone else going to get it?

I think so. Great product, and I use it every day. Glad to see the Tokina lenses in there... I downloaded some custom profiles but they were never the same quality as the Adobe profiles.
I just downloaded it and popped in some photos that I just took and edited in LR3. The new adjustments bring up shadows better with less introduction of noise. I shoot with a D7000 and this is pretty important since shadow recovery is better on this camera than highlight recovery. I've only had it for about an hour and haven't had a chance to dive in fully or try out the video functions yet, but the the shadow/highlight tools may be worth it on their own for some people - and the new lens corrections...
Ive been using the LR 4 beta for a while now (along with Lr3) ... the one thing I dont like is that that there doesnt seem to be a way to import your LR3 catalogs in. Was that only for the beta, or is that true for the release as well?

I got them in OK.
Someone said there was going to be a white balance brush - I can't find it yet although only played for ten minutes so far.
EDIT: had a bit of a fiddle with an export preset though, conflicting messages.
I just sold my Tokina 12-24, so of course they'd add a lens correction profile for it now! I have the 100mm macro, so I guess not all is lost.
Yes this was nice news and I will definately be upgrading. It has compatability with the new D800 and has 21 new lens profiles for my Leica system as well. I'm all in! :)
White balance brush is in the brush where the crop, redeye, etc...is located in the top right under the histogram. Didn't know that was new. That's great for real estate photography when there is sometimes different types of lighting going on. Will have to chef it out!
I am glad they added Tokina lenses but I have since sold off all my Tokina lenses and have gone Nikkor only.
This should help reprocess old photos though. Though I was lucky I had the Tokina 16-50 which you could use the Pentax 16-50 which were bascially the same lens.
Go figure - I get LR3 as a present for xmas - haven't loaded it yet, and now this. @#$%! Oh well looks like I'll move everything all at once.
The white balance brush is great! Just tried it on some photos with a color cast on ceilings and you can correct them back to white in a snap. This is great!

You got the catlog itself in? Or just the pictures?
[EDIT: NEVERMIND, I THINK I GOT IT.]
I'll upgrade soon. I've downloaded so many trial versions of editing programs that it's got my head spinning.
Not a LR user, but just a heads up. If you ordered a D4 or D800 and want to work with RAW in LR you need to update to v4, as v3.6 wont be receiving any new camera RAW updates.

I had downloaded the trial version of Lightroom 3 and they finally told me I had to buy or stop using, so, given that I am incredibly lucky (or stupid :-) I bought it 3 days ago. I've now been on the phone for the last 3 hours. Count 'em 3 HOURS, with Adobe trying to get my free upgrade to Lightroom 4. Very frustrating experience to say the least.
Has anyone had any trouble getting their libraries in LR3 into LR4? I have tons of photos in both Aperture 3 and LR 3, and I'm hoping that at least the LR3 -> LR4 migration is going to be painless.
Been playing with the LR4 Beta for quite a while now, and like it enough to upgrade my LR3 to LR4. Will have to wait until this weekend, though.
Just upgraded,....excited

I agree. Adobe should (like most other companies do) have some sort of time allowed for a free upgrade. I wouldnt expect it to be a long time, maybe a month or 2. (In otherwords, if you purchased within 30 or 60 days, the license should be free).
But, then again, Adobe isn't exactly known for great customer service. Great products, yes. Customer service? no.
...and lets face it - you should have bought LR3 when it first came out PLUS you can afford $79 for something that good! How many other photography related things are that complex, that good and that cheap (that's coming from somebody with nearly no money too)?

As a software developer who likes getting paid for his work, I get the need to be paid, but I have to respectfully disagree. Personally, I think its bad form to not include some form of grace period when you know you have a new product coming out. Whether it be photography software, map making software, or whatever. The grace period doesnt have to be too long, but 30 or 60 days is honestly a standard in the industry.
