Elvishefer, nice composition. I am really excited about the possibility that spring just could happen now. Lots of opportunities for wildflower shots over the next couple of months, maybe if it ever warms up. Lots of very inspirational images on PAD.
One of the interesting things about Kolmanskop is that the roofs are gradually deteriorating, letting the sunlight shine on building walls through lath, making for striking light patterns.

It's been a while since I posted. Here's something a little different. I took some photos of my church for them to put on their website for a virtual tour including some during the service (no, they don't normally have a bed on the stage... it was part of the decor for a series on marriage). The red is from the red lights on stage (it is supposed to look like that). I thought it turned out pretty cool... but it made me want a D4 or D800 even more.

VS nice use of light to emphasize your subject.
This is my last photo in this series. More are on the Flickr page which you can get to just by clicking on the photo.
Eventually, the earth renews itself, taking back that which was temporarily used by humans. Here, two small plants symbolize this renewal.

This was probably somebody's pride and joy years ago. Now she proudly sits as an ornament in the front of a home in the hills of North Carolina. I think she's still smiling.

All these very nice works and now.... a test of the High ISO.... taken in almost total darkness ISO 17959
D4, 20mm f/2.8 Nikkor, 1/20 sec at f/2.8 A real nightmare in Lightroom with more than three color lift sources from Na Vapor to Metal Halide, tungsten and LED. But , the camera performs where no photo could have been done with anything I had in the past.

@msmoto - the camera is brilliant!
RX4 - I like the car like that more than I would new! What a relic.
I'm not very artistic. This is my equivalent of doodling in the digital age. Fun to do, but not wall-worthy.

I find your bird very interesting elvishefer, surely an eye catcher.
Nice work guys/gals.
Not my preferred, but received some compliments. For me it was more an exploratory exercise. The background was way over-exposed and the foreground under-exposed.Posted 1 year ago # -

Thanks for posting this.
Interesting formation of noise in there, and you got the shot!

I was experimenting with a macro lens this week and am even more convinced that a solid tripod is a photographers best friend!!!
We have a weekend of 80 degree days too now, so I suspect I'll be pushed into it AGAIN!!!!

Everyone is posting such perfectly exposed pictures here. For me it's daily education.
@NSXType-R, thanks for posting the name of that car because I honestly had no clue. My kids thought it was out of the movie "CARS."
@elvishefer, I do think your bird photo is very artistic and quite frame-able.
@Bland, your photographic talents amaze me. Impressive facial and wall shadows.Posted 1 year ago # -
