I just got a projected shipment date for the D800E from Amazon. The date was Jan 3, 2013!!!!!!!!!!! Is this a mistake or what??????? Bob

Smart money is that it's a "placeholder" date and that cameras will ship in March or April. B&H showing March 22.

LOL Me too! i ordered mine on 2/7/2012 and my delivery date is January 8th - January 13th. yeah.... Right cauz I'm gonna wait that long. Anyway doesn't Amazon have a history (according to rumors here) of canceling orders after 60 days?
