"Hail Mary" shot out the window while driving over the George Washington Bridge - the object in the foreground is the housing for the left-side cameras on my work van, which I didn't manage to get out of the shot but I like what they do with the composition.

Last Friday, we got an ice storm. Taken at night. There is a light pole (much bigger than it appear) behind the tree illuminating the ice. I am not sure what causes the red in the background, most likely a side effect of white-balancing the bluish light.Posted 1 year ago # -
Really cool picture (literally) Pierre!

I second that being pretty cool. The lighting + ice on all the branches makes it look almost like a plastic miniature you'd use for a model railroad or something.

In my opinion Pierre's photo looked more like an IR photo than a normal photo.
Cool stuff indeed.

Yup, ya got to get the HTML /BB code from Flicker, Tom. But I had a heck of a time myself getting the things to the NR Forum. Try this
http://www.flickr.com/photos/upload
to get your photos on Flicker then go to the share and pull the code and paste it here. Like this one of The Man With A Beard:
