I followed the discussion of the Nikon V1 vs Olympus m4/3 'something' test on the main blog today, and in between refreshes, new comments were getting added and disappearing almost at the same time.
There was no offensive content, just people pointing out the flaws in the test and the bias of the reviewer...
So, please explain why that content was removed.
Its a glitch probably I lost about 20 posts one week, but it doesn't happen often just the one time since I've been on here.
I wonder if it is to do with the dual system nature of the servers?
Didn't we just have a week or two when a bunch of posts just went away, only to reappear when you did something else on the site?
They were there all the time, and you just had to access the 'other' server to see them (or something like that)...
are you sure your comments weren't just bumped down by replies to comments in front of yours?
Don't forget that there are multiple pages pages when there gets to be a lot of comments, so you might have to dig to see yours.
I find the admin is pretty conservative about deleting comments- there are always a lot of comments I feel that should be deleted but aren't (those pointless "FIRST!!!" comments come to mind) so if there were any real discussion, I don't think he would remove those intentionally.

there are some ocasional hiccups on the server, and maybe You are simply a victim. trust me, neither me or JA will ever delete a post that follows the rules of this forum.
For me it only happened once Gareth, your posts disappear not just bumped down. Don't worry though I've been on here for three years and just happened the one time last October I believe. Its likely server issues like Adamz mentioned...
It happened to a posting of mine yesterday. A later posting referred to mine, but mine disappeared from the site shortly after. Not that it matters - I have the satisfaction of knowing that at least one person read it!
