    Let's see now.... if I get a new V1 for Christmas with the FT-1 adapter.... and stick on the 400mm with the 2X converter....
    mmm.... 2160 mm equivalent focal length. Wonder if I can handhold it?

    Yes pics will definately be needed! But seriously though I'd image it wouldn't be a problem as long the lense had a shoe on it and that went on the tripod. Still funny stuff, imagine seeing that setup at live sports event? haha too funny :)

    Either that or the VR motor is going to be buzzing like a swarm of angry bees...

    Kind of defeats the idea of a "compact" system camera (Ashton adverts show him putting one in his suit pocket), but...

    Not entirely agree, once you've got a bag for the lens, the camera will possibly fit in nicely without need for an extra bag :-) ==> still kinda compact... :-)
