Sorry for the double post I'm just trying to get the picture up and not just a link to it.
Myself and my passenger were the first to leave from a weekend dance retreat for the diner everyone was going to afterward... huge accident en route and we got through way before anybody else and wound up waiting at the diner for an hour or so before folks started trickling in. Had this entire railcar reserved and it was just the two of us for quite some time. Awkward slightly...

Martian Sunset? Captured this back in October and haven't seen one like it since.

D7000 ; taken with the 70mm end of the 70-300mm @ f/4.5 ; ISO 200 ; 1/40sec.
Rifqi......I love your macro bug shots! Having seen the movie The Fly as a child, gave me nightmares......
Here's another cool one I took while on a night photo course.
Thanks rbrylawski, the little buggers seem to have more personality when you get down to their level. Here's a portrait of my wife that she doesn't like, so don't tell her I posted it here :p
With very little organization (just pushed the shiny bits closer together)
D7000 - VR 70-200mm/f2.8 - 200mm - f/2.8 - ISO 1600 - 1/125sec
Ok, here's one I did awhile ago. I have a bit of a backlog, so you guys will get to see some fall pictures.
News crew at Christmas tree lighting ceremony. I had the SB-900 on camera but it was turned off. I do like the effects of the available light.

Nikon D7000, AF-S Nikkor 35mm F1.8 G lens at f/2.2 ; 1/80sec ; ISO 1600
@ Abhinav - perfect capture using stage lighting up there.
Rx4Photo, do you usually see the ghosting artifact with the 35mm 1.8? I'm referring to the glow on the woman's shoulder.
For the most part my 35mm 1.8 doesn't do it, but if in backlit conditions or harsh lighting, it sometimes does it and it's very distracting.
I was disappointed to see that as well. That was the first lens that I bought after getting the D7K body and I immediately bought a cheap off-brand glass filter to put on it. So, I think it's the filter's fault. Most of my shooting is daytime so I never had a problem with it. After seeing that ghosting I have since put that thing in the trash.
