Here's a hydrogen balloon exploding. I told my student not to do it with just a lighter, but he didn't listen. You can see the lighter in the middle of the flames. He lost the hair from about 6 inches of his hand for it. ;-)
I was surprised to see the bright hot spots in the fireball. Does anyone know what causes that? They were visible in another shot I got of another exploding balloon.
