Alright, just purchased the NEC MultiSync PA271W-BK-SV. I did not however, purchase an additional calibrator. I'll use the one it comes with for the time being and proceed from there if needed. Even though I've already purchased it, I'm hoping NEC is at Photokina when I attend tomorrow to at least see and use it.

nice, looks like a sweet monitor.
make sure you have high cri (95%+) lights in the room too, if you are comparing to prints.
