If you take a non-coated filter, and stack it with a coated clear glass filter (such as the Teffin HT clear glass or the Hoya SMC clear glass), will it achieve the same anti-reflection result as having used a coated filter, or will there still be issues?
If you can use a coated filter to cut glare, where in the stack should be the clear filter, closest to the lens, or on top?
What 2 filters are you planning on stacking together? With regards to filters generally, and not wishing to repeat old threads, I'm "IN" the protective filter camp, but I do believe ANYTHING you put over the lenses glass with have some negative effects as well as the positive ones you bought the filter to achieve, because of that I always buy the best quality coated filters I can. DigitalRev ran an interesting comparison a few months ago.
You dont want to add TWO filters

If you are working in a dirty dusty environment, it might be worth using uncoated ones and renewing them when they get damaged
No, it won't help.
In physics, any time you change the medium of light transmission, by adding a different layer, glass, water, anything, you're changing the angle at light passes through. If you have two different pieces of glass, you're scattering light more than the single piece of glass you would have had in front of your lens.
Even if they're both expensive filters, it'd probably degrade your image.
