I saw this mentioned on the BBC. I can think of a lot of very cool things to do with this, not least of which is to turn it into the mother of all electronic viewfinders:

They've only got one LED so far, but someday I'll be walking around with one of these wirelessly connected to my Nikon D8 in live view mode.
