    Hi
I lost my D7000 with the 80-200 f/2.8 attached about 1 meter above ground. I looked at the camera, and it seemed to be alright. But when I turned it on, the display said f(EE) where the aperture is shown.

    I have 4 lenses
    d series: 50mm 1.8 nikkor and 80-200 2.8 nikkor
    g series 12-24mm Tokina and 105mm 2.8 nikkor

When I put the g series lenses on my D7000 everything is okay. But when I put my d series on, the error is back, and I cant take pictures.
When I use my d series lenses on my D90 body, everything works just fine.

    Can anyone help me ?

Did you check the aperture lock tab on your D lenses?

No clue. I'll have to check when I get home to see whether there are any pin differences between the g and the d lenses. Maybe mount was bent just enough that a pin is not making proper contact????

Yes the first thing I looked at was the f lock on the d lens. It’s not that problem :( I wish it was that simple :)

Hi It will be the Elation Ring on the camera which the lens touches when you put it on, the contacts behind the ring will have been damaged in the fall.

No worries its not a expensive job to repair .

I had the same problem Nikon Uk repaired mine but any good repair camera shop could do it

99% that either the pin on body or on the lens is broken, if the lens works ok on other body than You have the answer.

Turn your apeture ring to F22 (it may be a little stuck to make sure it goes fully all of the way. If not it is probably a connection issue... I've never had the problem and my 80-200mm has taken a few trips to the pavement with a body in tow...
