Nikon Rumors will not display webpage in WinXP IE8 browser
Noticing this problem for a few months. Works ok on Win 7 IE9
Is this common with IE8 or is there an add on that I need to disable

Why don't you upgrade to FireFox? On the three PC's I use on a regular basis, IE is slower than FF - by quite a bit too. Old versions of IE are also well used as attack vectors for hackers...

Noticed similar on 64bits browser, so i visit NR with 32 Bits version.. ( for me it works like that, cannot say for others..)

I tested it and it works fine on my PC. Maybe try to get the latest updates? Or clear your browser's cache and cookie files.

All is fine until certain Ad's start to load, then the whole thing freezes, or sometimes shuts with an IE-error, so i guess some of those ad's use old or 64bits incompatible Flash code or something like that
I'll stick to 32bits ie9 for NikonRumours, then all is fine....Posted 1 year ago # -

If this is add related, then experiences will be different because those ( animated..Flash.) add's are localized, so I get Dutch add's where others get Brittish or USA localized add's on the NR frontpage...Posted 1 year ago # -
I am able to view & post nikonrumors forum using InPrivate with IE8 in winxp
I guess I need to understand what exactly the differences are with InPrivate vs regular browsing.
And why Nikonrumors would have this problem.
Is there some hidden cookies, bots, etc that are causing a display problem..Posted 1 year ago #
