   Hi Folks!

   I think it’s clear that NikonRumors has developed quite an international following with a more than few unique and interesting individuals to say the least. There is certainly a sense of community among its followers.

   What do you think of organizing a get together. Perhaps a mini convention/exhibition/photo expedition. I would love the opportunity to host you here in Newfoundland; a place rich with quaint fishing villages, a booming offshore oil industry, rugged terrain and of course two of nature’s goliaths; Whales and icebergs.

   Love to hear your thoughts on this.

   If your ice photos in the PAD thread are from this year, then it'd be a great time to visit Newfoundland! I'm flying to Nova Scotia this weekend to try and shoot some whales, fingers crossed on the weather. :D

   I support your idea for a community event, virtual or real-world. I think there's a lot of learning to be shared among us.

   I thought it was illegal to shoot whales.

   Interesting idea about hosting photography a shoot in different parts of the world.

   Newfoundland is on my list of places I would really very much love to visit. Folks in Maine say it's like Maine without the flat part between the ocean and the mountains. :)

   Hmmm...if it was states side I could maybe swing it, but I don't think I could swing it in Newfoundland. Although I wouldn't mind going!

   Certainly doesn't have to be Newfoundland. Any place would work. NYC would be interesting as would a destination in Europe. It's really just about getting together, learning from each other and having fun.

    Ah shucks, if it was 2:45pm I'd have been there! :-) Seriously, nice idea Newfie, to make it work it would be a good idea for Admin to choose a new venue each year with a hotel / guesthouse and photo opp in mind, collect the payments and book it? No small undertaking though. We could of course have an "unofficial" meet?
