Ahbinav, I really like the symmetry of the photo, but I'm also glad you're slightly off center or else it would have looked incredibly awkward, especially if you impale the conductor. :D
I kinda did that when I photographed my school's president, it's a shame, I liked that photo if not for the impalement.
Pierre, that looks cool too, reminds me of a video game in a way.

Thanks. This staircase actually has a big story; the owner of a B&B close to Mont-Saint-Michel (and the cat in my previous shot) in France bought the 13 stone stairs in a flea-market. It came from a Castle that was demolished and stayed unwanted for years. A storm that almost destroyed (taking the roof away) the B&B gave the excuse (and the insurance money) for building the below tower just for it.
