Nice one, Rob. Lighting and pose are excellent. The white in her eyes has a real pop to it.

I never do anything to the eyes unlike a lot of other photographers. I just noticed how much they popped,
Thank you :)

Testing out new, but used Tamron 90mm SP 2.8 Macro lens. Dandelion seedpod. Shot was handheld with camera in one hand and seedpod in another.
D7000, F14, 1/320, ISO 800. Image is soft, but I held still as best I could so that I could catch the disappearing sunlight in my backyard.

To the person who thinks it's funny to submit photos from their canon- don't think we haven't noticed.

@bland - I'm happy you got out of that shower alive!
@others - Fine work. It's fun seeing people's photos improve over time :D
From a local site, a natural beauty that is unprotected and therefore gets stomped on daily - slowly wearing it away. I don't usually get environmentally protective, but this place needs a good fence.

My first attempt at some astrophotography through our observatory's 11-inch telescope last night (thanks again for the tip, Squamish). I previously reported it as a 1000mm f/4, but I'm now pretty sure it's actually about a 3000mm f/11 lens. ;-)
4 images stitched in photoshop. There were high clouds that I was shooting through but I think it turned out okay. I'm going back tomorrow to see if I can get any good galaxies/nebulae. Something tells me that since I'm bringing my 6-year-old it's not going to happen.

I may not have noticed, but I didn't know Photo-A-Day was Nikon only. I know this is a Nikon forum, but I didn't notice that it had restrictions like that.Go to a canon forum and post photos of your Nikon and see what happens. We don't mind the occasional non-Nikon post here but to continually post photos taken with a canon is very "trollish".

@elvishefer - love the contour of the land there
Was talking to some guys getting ready to make a first ascent on a crack in Tumbledown Boulder on the Loop Trail up Tumbledown Mountain, Maine and their dog climbed its own boulder and struck a nice pose. :)

Excellent photos everyone. I really like the balanced exposure of that waterfall PB PM.
Another shot with the rented Nikkor 10.5mm F2.8 Fisheye

I like your "Myst" shots Rx4. That's a rare shot Newfie.

Fog came and gave quite a show (too bad I did not have video... repeating meyself here.... where`s that D4). D700, whatever, no PP. Gee, I will really have to clean that sensor...

Shot Kim down in Louisville. Wonderful Location. Wonderful Light :). Bumped the Iso up to 6400 for some nice dusk shots!

Nice macro, docls.

Peace in a brutal world. This poor thing seems to have suffered all the frost bites and injuries his small body could hold (not that apparent on that shot but you should have seen him in real).Posted 1 year ago # -
