tempting... wonder if i need this in replacement of my 50mm 1.8G on d800... anyone have any experience using both? (standard lens and macro~standard lens)
i guess i should say that i already have the 105mm vr, and the main reason that i can see to get this lens is the closer focus distance. 50mm are stuck at .45 m focus distance lol..

I had the 60mm F2.8G, and now have the 50mm F1.8G. The 60mm is optically superior, without a doubt, so unless you need the F1.8 aperture the 60 is a good choice.

i think i'll hold off for now, even though i shoot at 2.8 most of the time, recently i've been in situations where i had to go down to f2, so i think the 1.8 will stay with me ( i'd rather not carry two of similar focal lengths around with me )Posted 5 months ago #
