are there any rumors for new DX zoom lenses? I would love to have a high-end zoom lens with VR, IF and a low f-stop (2.8- 3.5). I am hoping to find Nikon releasing something about 24-85mm. Am I crazy? The DX lenses available just do not have this capability, 0there must be other DX photographers looking for this quality. The 4 f-stop just is too slow for the amateur kids sports photos I want to take.

Nope - you have to up the iso or ante up and pay the $ for the pro glass.

There are lots of previous discussions on DX lens updates, "affordable" f4 lenses, and inexpensive telephoto options for DX cameras.
