Looks like Nikon pissed off some mommies at a Nikon sponsored "swanky cocktail party". Mommies got PO'd because Nikon didn't let them enter the restaurant/bar with their kids! What were they (mommies) thinking? Babies at a bar? The only BABES I ever see at bars all "work" there ;) Poor babies, their mommies must be canon users.

Working in a theme park, I can tell you that mothers with kids are the worse people ever in public places. They become completely oblivious to the fact that there are other people around. They even will jeopardize their kids safety just to make an attempt to make them happy.
Sorry, I've no sympathy at all for those mothers who weren't allowed in.

And if the kids were allowed... then mothers would have been bashing Nikon for being irresponsible or for trying to corrupt babies....
I realize i make this at times as well, but people! PLEASE look at the date of the thread before posting...
unless you knowingly did it, in which case at least make note of the fact.
Nothing wrong with posting to an older thread gelu88. If not then we should just close all threads after a week. As long as it's not a post like "should I buy the D200 now or wait for the D300" I don't see a problem with someone adding to the discussion. In this case opinions on the original topic are still valid even a year later :^)
I think Nikon made the right choice. At some point someone has to make some decisions about how an event is going to proceed. I have seen events dogs should not be allowed at. I would also note at those events there were very good reasons why they weren't allowed.
And of course, the second Junior does something wrong -- breaks a lens, spills his fruit punch on 10 grand worth of equipment -- the first thing you'd hear out of Mom's mouth would be, "Oh, my child would NEVER do something like that."
