Welcome aboard Noob001. Nice photo with excellent DOF. The D7K + 35mm is a sweet & sharp lightweight combo.D7000 with Sigma 50mm F1.4 DG EX HSM @ f/2 1/8000sec ISO 100 ev +0.33 **straight out of camera**
(FWIW, the jury's still out on this lens as far as it being a keeper for me. It's sharp but I noticed uneven distribution of the aperture blades and questionable sharpness at times.)Cool shot- was that with or without close up filters?

Hello. 1st pic here.
I have a fascination with:
a) wiring and other muck hanging from buildings and structures
b) people holding cameras about to take a picture
c) CCTV camerasSo that's what I will most likely end up posting here.
On a ferry ride from Ireland to England...

Yes I think people are on vacation Pierre I started grad school since July so I have been a little weak posting and it will get worse for me in the months to come I think. Still lots of quality this month for everyone including some newcomers.

I wanted to test the 300mm capabilities of the Nikkor 70-300mm lens during a long exposure. Needless to say, I was pretty happy with the results.

There is a mouse on this site that once in a while will eat a photo, like the one of mine that got lost 2 days ago.

"Typical" Switzerland (German side) construction, usually half of it is the house, the other half is a barn.Posted 1 year ago # -
Lots of Mountains and Clouds this month... here are some more. If you look closely you can see the two Cog trains going down the mountain.

Well here is an attempt to see how well I can follow directions to post a picture, hope it works the first time out.
Well it worked the first time out but on here seems darker than opening up the file off of my CF card. Guess I need to calibrate my system worse than I thought.

This is our new puppy—a poodle/golden retriever mix. Regulator, you know Morley influenced the decision on what kind of breed to get! She's the sweetest dog ever.
