Thanks Kaos.

A view from our hotel in "Pas De La Casa", in Andorra, a small country sandwiched between France and Spain. Funny enough, there are no borders between Spain and France but there is one around Andorra.
Like Monaco, which is apparently a country for the sole purpose of escaping France laws in regard with gambling, Andorra seams to exist only as a shopping paradise to escape all taxes, especially at «Pas de la Casa» who’s sole existence in summer seams to depends on dirt cheap cigarette and alcohol. As an example, you can get a 1 gallon bottle of whiskey for around $10 or 48 packs of Marlboro for $35. Hotels are the cheapest I have seen so far, 32 Euros for a double room, but forget about the stars. Too bad this kind of saving do not apply to Nikon equipment, they were selling the Nikkor 14-24mm F2.8 for around $2000.Posted 1 year ago # -

Barcelona, Spain, is it a church (under major renovation) or an horror movie castle? This is where I almost got my Nikkor 70-200 F2.8 stolen. We were parking the car and a guy in bicycle start to pound on the right front side of the car. I am thinking he is one crazy and stop paying attention, my wife starts screaming, there is another guy on the rear left half opened window that tries to grab the backpack where the lens is. In a reflex, I close the window, floor the claxon and open my door ready for a fight, just to see the two guys riding away casually, and all of this in front of a bank guard that did nothing beside staring at them with an half smile. You really do have to pay attention....

@Pierre - the church is called Sagrada Família (Barcelona, Spain) and it's neither under major renovation nor horror movie castle. It's still under development (since 1882 - crypt) and scheduled for contraction completion somewhere around 2020/30.
As for Spain itself, You have to be very careful. I didn't had so much luck as You had and got robbed in subway in Barcelona once.Posted 1 year ago # -
Trinidad, West Indies. This photo is shot from atop San Fernando hill in San Fernando.

While I was in Trinidad visiting my wife's family I got a couple of interesting and curious stares from thuggish locals as I shot pictures with my D7000 with 24-70mm lens. I would immediately stare back at them as I stuffed the camera back into my camera bag. They would look away and keep walking. This is the reason I'm considering getting a EVIL camera for travel and street.Posted 1 year ago # -
